See how close you are to your OET line before you pay A$587.
Computer-test replicas for Listening and Reading. An AI patient you actually talk to. Letters marked against all six criteria in about 30 seconds. Every score is an honest range, checked against the line your regulator sets.
"Honestly, I'd rather put up with the pain. Won't I get hooked on these tablets?"
"But I feel completely fine, doctor. Why would I take tablets every day for the rest of my life?"
Dear Ms Ward,
I am writing to refer Mr Daniel Brooks, a 58-year-old man discharged today after a right total knee replacement, for wound review and pain management at home.
Mr Brooks has type 2 diabetes and lives alone in a two-storey house. He is a heavy drinker. He is anxious about becoming dependent on oxycodone.
"heavy drinker" is a judgement. State the fact.
I would be grateful if you could visit him within 48 hours to check the wound and his pain scores.
Yours sincerely,
Priya Nair, RN
Dear Dr Hughes,
I am writing to refer Mr Peter Hale, a 61-year-old retired electrician, for assessment of chest pain on exertion that began three weeks ago.
The pain comes on after about 200 metres and settles with rest. His resting ECG today was normal. He had his appendix removed in 1979.
The appendicectomy doesn't help the cardiologist. Use the space for his risk factors.
I would be grateful if you could see him in your chest pain clinic and arrange further investigation.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Amaka Eze, GP
Practise each sub-test the way it's really sat.
Listening and Reading are the same for every profession, and they're where most candidates fall short. Writing and Speaking are built for nurses and doctors.
Listening
Audio plays once, like the real test. Afterwards, every miss shows the exact line you heard and why you lost it.
Reading
Part A locks at 15 minutes. Highlight as you read. Results point to the evidence sentence for each answer.
…doses should be withheld if the INR exceeds 3.0 and the prescriber…
Speaking
Talk out loud to an AI patient who has feelings and hidden worries. Marked on the 9 official criteria, with your own words quoted.
You said: "Don't worry, it's normal."
Writing
First learn what to leave out: tap each case note include or omit. Then write in 40 minutes and get line-by-line marking.
Only real exam conditions count toward your estimate.
A test you've seen before, a rewrite or a practice run with pauses can't tell you much about exam day. So your readiness estimate uses only full tests sat in exam mode for the first time, in the last 60 days, for your profession. Everything else still shows as progress.
- Each regulator's own rules, including AHPRA's April 2026 lines and NMBI's one sub-test at C+.
- Ranges with a confidence level, never a single made-up number.
- Free to use. No sign-up needed for Listening and Reading.
We haven't yet compared enough of our estimates with real OET results to say how often they're right, so every verdict reads "Our estimate says…".
Feedback in seconds, as many times as you need.
Writing and Speaking only improve with repetition. Instant marking means you can rewrite a letter or redo a role-play tonight, not next week.
Nurses and doctors registering abroad.
Built for practice on a phone between shifts and on a laptop at home. Lines are set per regulator, so a nurse heading to the UK and a doctor heading to Australia each see their own target.
Before you start
Start with a free Listening test. No account, no card. Your results stay on this device until you choose to sign in.
Is this the official OET?
No. OETAce is an independent practice platform. All tests, letters and role-play cards are written by us in the format of the computer-based test. Your official result only comes from the real exam.
How accurate are the score estimates?
We give a range and say how confident we are. Listening and Reading are marked exactly; the range comes from converting raw marks to the 500 scale. Writing and Speaking are marked by AI against the official criteria, which is why we show the evidence for every score so you can judge it yourself. We haven't yet compared enough of our ranges with real OET results to publish an accuracy figure; until we do, treat every score as an estimate. See where our accuracy checks stand.
Can I practise on my phone?
Yes. Every room works on a phone. For Writing we recommend a keyboard, because the real test is typed or handwritten in 40 minutes.
What's free?
Any one full Listening test and any one full Reading test, with no account. One Speaking role-play and one Writing marking after a quick email sign-in, which we ask for before you start, so nothing interrupts you halfway.
Which professions are covered?
Writing tasks and Speaking role-plays are written for nurses and doctors so far. Listening and Reading are the same for all twelve OET professions, so anyone can use them.
Can I install it like an app?
Yes. On Android, open OETAce in Chrome and choose "Add to Home screen". On iPhone, tap Share in Safari, then "Add to Home Screen". It opens full-screen, like an app.
See where you stand in one sitting.
Do one full Listening test now. You'll get your score range, the line you need, and the exact moments you lost marks.
