OET score for ECFMG certification (2027 Pathways)

ECFMG needs OET Medicine scores of at least 350 in Listening, Reading and Speaking and 300 in Writing, all in one sitting taken on or after 1 January 2025; there's no limit on attempts.

Single sub-test resit
Not useful: ECFMG needs all four in one sitting.

Questions candidates ask

Can I combine my best sub-test scores across sittings for ECFMG?

No. All four must meet the line in one sitting. If one is short, you retake all four.

Is there a limit on OET attempts for ECFMG?

No. ECFMG doesn't limit attempts. Each sitting is a full fee, though, so check you're ready before rebooking.

Can I take OET@Home for ECFMG?

Only if there's no OET test venue in your country.

My OET is from 2024. Does it count?

No. ECFMG only counts OET sittings on or after 1 January 2025.
