- Check your regulator's line and rules first (score lines by regulator); a resit you could have avoided costs AU$587.
- Book when your practice scores are at the line on unseen tests, not on tests you've seen before.

How much is the OET exam fee in 2026?
AU$587 for all four sub-tests, whether you take it on paper, on computer at a venue or as OET@Home. In the US it is US$455. OET charges in Australian dollars everywhere else, so the local amount depends on your bank's exchange rate.
How much is the OET fee in rupees?
OET doesn't publish a rupee price; you pay AU$587. At the 21 October 2026 rate that is about ₹39,000, plus any foreign-transaction fee your card charges.
Is OET cheaper than IELTS?
No. In Australia IELTS Academic costs AU$490 and PTE Academic AU$499, against AU$587 for OET. In India IELTS is ₹19,000 and PTE ₹18,900, against about ₹39,000 for OET.
Can I get a refund if I cancel OET?
Partly. If you cancel before booking closes you get AU$460 back for a full test (AU$380 after it closes), as long as you cancel at least a week before a paper test or two days before a computer test.
How much does an OET re-mark cost?
AU$120 per sub-test (US$95 in the US). Apply within 72 hours of results. The fee is refunded if your grade changes.
