SOURCE-LINKED HISTORYOET requirement changes in 2026
What changed, which date matters and what to check before using an older result. Each entry links the published source. ECFMG’s cycle window is labelled as a cycle requirement, not a newly changed score.
OETAce is an independent practice platform, unaffiliated with OET or these receiving bodies. The receiving body decides whether your evidence is acceptable.
2026-10-30 · cycle requirement verifiedECFMG 2027 Pathways: results on or after 1 January 2025
For the 2027 Pathways, ECFMG requires a qualifying OET Medicine result on or after 1 January 2025. Listening, Reading and Speaking need 350, and Writing 300, all in one administration. Do not interpret this as a rolling two-year validity rule or combine components across attempts.
ECFMG advises applicants seeking the 2027 Match to test by the last scheduled date in December 2026 so that results can be reported in time. The cited page also says that results released on or after 14 May 2026 require the MyIntealth ID; an older USMLE ID is not interchangeable. This entry records the verified cycle requirement, not the announcement date of a new score rule.

2026-09 · policy revision monthMCNZ: September policy revision recorded
The policy version history records an update by the Registrar in September 2026, following revision by Council in November 2025. This records the document revision; it does not establish that OET component scores changed that month.
The current Medicine table lists Listening, Reading and Speaking 350, and Writing 300. It permits one sitting or up to two within 12 months with all four components in each sitting, the required scores across the pair and no component below 300. Check the full policy for the registration or examination route that applies to you.

2026-07-13 · test sittings fromNew Zealand immigration: every OET component must be in person
For OET taken on or after 13 July 2026, Immigration New Zealand requires all components at a supervised test centre. A venue computer result with remotely administered Speaking can still be used if taken before that date. OET@Home has never been accepted for these immigration purposes.
This is an immigration rule, not a new NCNZ or MCNZ registration score. Check the receiving body for registration as well as the separate visa requirement.

2026-05-12 · updated table datedHRSA: updated table for registered nurses and other degree-level workers
The updated HRSA table lists Listening 320, Reading 340, Writing 350 and Speaking 360 for registered nurses and other B.S.-level health care workers. The earlier table on the same page lists C+ for Listening, Reading and Writing, and B for Speaking.
Use the registered-nurse column: the below-degree-level worker column has different scores. HRSA states that meeting this English standard does not itself establish eligibility to enter the United States or authorisation to practise. VisaScreen and state nursing licensure remain separate steps.

2026-04-23 · test sittings fromAhpra: numeric scores replace the older grade thresholds
For sittings from 23 April 2026, the Ahpra table requires Listening 350, Reading 360, Writing 350 and Speaking 360. For sittings on or before 22 April, its older table lists B in Listening, Reading and Speaking and C+ in Writing. Writing therefore rises from the C+ threshold to 350; Reading and Speaking now require 360.
When using two sittings under the new table, all four components must be tested each time and neither sitting may fall below Listening 320, Reading 340, Writing 350 or Speaking 350. The published period is 12 months. This is the Ahpra registration standard; Australian migration English uses separate rules.

Dataset revisions
Automatically recorded when a fact or source in our dataset changes. A fresh verification date alone creates no revision. These are edits to our compilation, not announcements by a regulator.
Initial dataset release: 30 October 2026. No subsequent revisions recorded.
Before you rely on an old result
First identify your receiving body, profession and application route. Read whether its date refers to the test sitting, application or cycle. Check all component scores, any required total, the rules for combining sittings and the precise delivery format. Registration, immigration and recruitment programmes may use different requirements even in the same country.
Use the full linked page for transition rules and unknown fields. Keep the result date and the source you checked with your application notes. If two official pages conflict, ask the receiving body which applies to your route before booking. We do not infer a new policy from a revised webpage or verification date.
