Reading Part A speed: find facts fast
Reading Part A gives you 15 minutes for 20 questions across four short texts, which leaves under 45 seconds per answer. Most candidates who run out of time read the texts from top to bottom instead of scanning for the one detail each question needs.
Each set gives you four short texts and eight questions against a clock. You learn to decide which text holds the answer first, then find the exact words, spelt as they appear.
- Match each question to the right text
- Copy the exact word or number
- Beat the 45-second pace
