Clinical communication phrases, said out loud
The Speaking test marks five clinical communication criteria, including relationship building, the patient's perspective and information giving. Candidates often know the right phrases but don't say them under pressure.
Each phrase is spoken in a natural voice. You say it yourself, and we check you got the key words out, so opening a role-play, showing empathy and checking understanding come out without thinking. Practise with headphones and a microphone, and say each phrase as if the patient were in front of you.
